Here are your options in the United States.
Check online according to the State you are in:
- If you have Insurance, Like Atena, Humana, UHC, etc.
On the back of your card is a free help line number.
If you do not have your card, most insurance companies post the number online. - If you are Medicare only and no supplemental insurance:
Call 1-800-633-4227
3. If you do not have any insurance:
Most health systems provide free service.
For example: HCA of Florida has a Consult-A-Nurse line at 800-706-8773. Look for one of these in your state. - If you are a Veteran (VA):
a. Call 800-698-2411 for general assistance. b. Go online to VA Health Connect and they will have a pop up window that says: Talk to the Veterans Crisis Line now
NOTE: When you go online be careful, some companies advise the service as free,
but they actually mean free to sign up. Once you sign up, they will ultimately require a fee.
It is safer to call a 1-800 number.
